Judy works with a variety of companies through the year, including equipment manufacturers, holiday companies and transport operators. Current partners include:
ON FOOT HOLIDAYS
Feature for: France magazine, February 2015 issue
In autumn 2014 Judy walled the On Foot Holidays' Cote du Rhone route: a self-guided hike in northern Provence, among the foothills of Mont Ventoux. Starting in Venasque - one of France's most beautiful villages - the six days of walking ended in Vaison la Romaine via a circuit in the Dentelles de Montmirail.
HAUTE MAURIENNE VANOISE
Feature for: France magazine, mountain biking in the Haute Maurienne (April 2015) and Five Faces: exploring the 5 ski resorts of the upper valley (Oct 2016)
The Haute Maurienne, in the French Alps, was the venue for a fabulous five-day mountain bike route. Starting at the foot of a glacier, in the traditional alpine village of Bonneval sur Arc, Judy and her husband Duncan pedalled off-road tracks, via the Refuge of Petit Mont Cenis and the astonishing Fort Esseillon, to the village of La Norma near Bramans. In Spring 2016, they cover similar terrain, but on skis.
Feature for: France magazine, a walking feature in the Lands of the Crusades (February 2016)
Like Judy, Inntravel are based in North Yorkshire. In September she is joining forces with 'the Slow Holiday people, on a walking tour in the Tarn, southern France, one of their many European hiking and biking holidays.
Features for: France magazine, Lands of the Crusades (February 2016), Vines, Villages and the Vosges (walking in Alsace, August 2016)
Voyages-SNCF (previously known as Rail Europe) are the first port of call for train travel in Europe. The French train system is extremely efficient and Judy uses them often to access start points for features.
